Geppetto is practically a typical gentle giant. He loves attention, getting groomed, and there is hardly anything that would upset him, so he is also very gentle with children and doesn't mind to have them fooling around on his wide back. BUT you definitely shouldn't mess with him. He is one strong and protective horse and if he considers his rider/handler/friend in danger, he will do a lot to protect them or safe them from any other danger. For his age he is still very fit and not slow or lazy at all.
That's also how he got this scar on his forehead; a little child who had sneaked into the horse pasture was about to get attacked from a rather aggressive other horse but gladly Geppetto was there to prevent the attacker from doing so by a "little" fight. So yes, if showing off his massive size and weight doesn't work he doesn't fear to bite as well.
Also he doesn't mind temperature and often doesn't like boxes unless it's really uncomfortable outside, so he uses to spend most of the time outside no matter the weather.
