Description
This is Flying Scotsman's current livery. The livery he was unveiled in, a couple of years ago. Once again, I refused to add the smoke deflectors. This livery, is the way all LNER engines looked during World War 2. The "LNER" on the tenders and side tanks, was shortened to "NE". The two different numbers on the sides of the cab were from renumbering phases.EDIT: I changed some information in the description, because it was inaccurate.

"Not only that, but the engines had two different numbers on the different sides of the engine. Flying Scotsman, for example, has the number 103 on the left side, and the number 502 on the right side."
Not entirely accurate, I'm afraid; the number 502 was indeed from an interim renumbering during WWII, yes, but 103 was from the 1946 Renumbering under the auspices of Edward Thompson, to rationalise the range of engine numbering.

My mistake. I'm sorry. I guess I didn't know as much about it.

It's okay; I only really know about it since I model the LNER, and looked up that little snippet- heck, it was new to me that "Scotsman" had carried the number 502 for a short time, before being renumbered as 103.

You model the LNER? That's really neat.

It's slow going though, but I'm pulling things together for it.

That's good to hear. I've always had an interest with model railways.

Yeah; the idea is that it's supposed to be a junction station on a secondary line, possibly in the East Anglia area, given that I have a few ex-GER designed loco's.
