A good shot of 90's gorgeous Reading 6 Chime. Getting to pull on the whistle cord with my own hands was absolutely phenomenal, and getting to hear the whistle letting out it's melodic sound felt... Refreshing.Related content

Nice shot. I always tend to lean towards 6 chimes. My favorite 6 chimes would have to be the ATSF 6 Chimes on 3751 and 2926 (when she's done), the SP 6 Chime as heard on SP 2472, the Boston & Maine 6 Chime as heard on 425 in 1995 and 1996, and the Central of Georgia 6 Chime as heard on Southern 630 at the TVRM.

The C of G 6 Chime has always been one of my personal favorites, but my favorite steam whistle of all time would have to be the Reading 6 Chime.

I'd have to agree with that statement.

Love that neat whistle!! Reading 6 Chime is one of my favorite USA steam whistles and one of my childhood memories. RDG T1 2102 as one of my childhood memories too. love when The T1 2102 sports a 6 chime like this. When 2102 is fully restored and ready I can ride and experience the T1 as one of my favorite Superpower Steamer in PA eventually.

I thought you needed a skilled hand to quill a whistle. Where did you blow it? On a trip or in the yards?

In the yards. We were given cab rides, and during the ride, we all had a chance to blow 90's whistle.

Man, you're so lucky! Do you have to be a certain age to get in the cab?

It was all part of RailCamp, so everyone had a chance, regardless of their age.
