After listening to the "Newton Abbot Saga", by and , I was inspired to sketch this remake of a scene from Story #5, "Crest Collision".So, here we have Lizzie telling a Pannier to get lost, after making a smart remark about her, and the way she's practically working herself to bits. Needless to say, Lizzie wasn't amused.Β

Over the coming weeks, the Great Western engine began to look increasingly haggard and dirty. Other station pilots could say Lizzie's clanking could be heard long before she was ever seen... and more so than usual,Β Lizzie didn't even bother retaliating!
"Lizzie, I'm becoming concerned..."
Mr. Turner was speaking to Lizzie one morning, after he convinced his engine to actually stop. She'd been running around like she was possessed.
"Hee hee... Anyone w'd think she'd knock 'erself t' bits like 'dem Industrials do!" giggled a Pannier.
