Description
It may look a bit weird on a tank engine like Thomas, but I made it for the sake of the movie. Freaking sue me.I tried my best, but I dunno if I did it right.

Not too shabby. I'm stoked for The Great Race. I mean, seriously: 12 new characters?! From different countries?!!
If The Great Race didn't celebrate 70 years of Thomas instead of Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure, I don't know what will!
.......Except maybe for Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure.

Actually, you know what? Forget what I said. I saw the special already and I now think it's just "okay". It's NOT the worst thing I've ever watched, don't get me wrong, but I think it could have been a LOT better.
I would have liked The Great Race a whole lot more if the engines introduced in the Thomas' YouTube World Tour videos (Marshall, Yen, Settebello, Rajinda, Abiar, Coran, and Nuria) as well as the merchandise-exclusive character Sam participated in the Great Railway Show. I would have also liked to see more songs throughout the movie including some of the classics like "Accidents Will Happen" or "Let's Have a Race" (which ironically was NOT featured in the film at all).
If only HiT Entertainment released a "director's cut" of The Great Race with these changes in mindβ¦

Still need to get use to that version of Thomas for the special when first heard this/ saw Thomas like that my immediate reaction was "why is Thomas a squashed daylight?". Still good Sprite work.

Well, based on the Take N' Play model, and a promotional picture, yes.

You know, I really should've worded the description better. It's not that I dislike it, I just think it's a little too much for a tank engine.

Well, it's not that I dislike it, it just doesn't look... normal, on a tank engine like him.

Like, it would be more fitting on an engine like James or Henry, but it just doesn't look right on a tank engine, if you get what I mean. If they toned it down a little, I would be a lot more happy with it.

How would you tone it down, if you don't mind my asking?

Well, the one thing that always catches my eye, is the skirting. It would look more normal if they took away the skirting on top of the boiler, and toned down the skirting on the front buffer-beam. Something like the CPR Royal Hudson's:Β www.railarchive.net/randomsteaβ¦
