For those of you who don't know, Carlos is competing in the Parade Of Decorated Engines against Yong Bao, Rajiv, James, and Emily. However, he is not decorated like the others. As such, he doesn't stand much of a chance.
He had won the Strongest Engine Race at the VERY FIRST Great Railway Show, but since then, engines have gotten bigger and stronger. So, he decided to compete in an event that he, at the very least, stood a moderately good chance of winning.Credits to Cj-The-Creator Β

But i think other then a few flaws, the movie was rather fantastic. I have some nitpicks but, theres never a perfect movie. (Though some come close)

I completely agree. For the way HiT has built it up for the past couple of months, it was just as good as I was hoping. It was even a little better than I had hoped.

If a sequel was to be made, it would be the perfect opportunity. Aside from Ashima and Vinnie, none of the other international engines got major speaking roles, which is a real shame. I'd be glad to hear what the others have to say, considering that they were a somewhat major part of the movie. Getting more development out of them would be pretty fantastic, I must say.

From what I'm looking at, I can see some changes to his original bases, for instance, he's painted black, red and green. His basis is only red and black, besides, you don't need to have add ons to compete in a best decorated competition.

You're kinda right. The minor changes to his paint scheme do help him to stand out. Even if it's such a small detail, people will still be able to notice it. So, in that sense, you have a good point.
