Couldn't resist not drawing Davesprite... even though I know this particular composition is a popular one.
But I wanted to have a go at digital painting, since I don't do that much.
...but... ah.. ;__;

He actually does have arms, but i wanted him to be more ghost-like here. The sword is stuck through his body, and all i can say about that briefly is that it is a common theme in Homestuck. Glad you think it's cool!

SAI is really nice for painting--when I first tried it, though, I had a problem making hard edges (everything was blended together)

I'd only do a quirk with Οou or an IRL friend... so far that's all I have, there's reallΟ just little thought to it. I thought it themed well with Nik's, and I'm obsessed with phi, I use it in art or drawing figures, etc. etc. It makes me happΟ~

It looks like you put less effort into it the lower you got into the picture.
But HOLY COW is Dave's hair and neck fur crazy awesome.
Also, the transparent wings is an interesting idea.

I'm glad you brought that up! I didn't bother in the first place to put any detail into it; the purpose of it was to exist but not hold your attention. All the details went straight to the hair and feathers, etc., to keep the eyes there. But I would like to hear what you think--I haven't been painting often lately, and it's really nice to get feedback like this.

Other than what I already said, I'm not terribly good at feedbacking. ^^'
But I guess I'll say this: The wings being transparent makes sense with my head-canon that the sprites are ethereal.

The transparency came mostly because the sword would have been an unclear thing, but I thought it wasn't too out of place. How would Andrew draw see-through beings all the time without them being lost in hard-pixel confusion? at least I wouldn't know. They are pale and opaque instead, and the ghost-shape leads me to draw them like that. pppphhh oh well?
