FINALLY, after almost 3 weeks of on and off on drawing, colouring, managing time between part time work, life and audio hobby, its done x_X
To date, this is probably the most difficult picture I've ever worked on simply because of that... that... mecha thingy! This is my first serious attempt putting together what I know in colouring any full-fledged mecha ever x_X
(The Strike Gundam I previously did didn't count... and Rockman isn't a full mecha type, so he doesn't count too O_O)

Believe me, Zephy ish not good at them mecha thingies *dies* x_X

Also first time drawing a BG to match the pic, but the different BG stuffs were drawn on separate pieces of maper, so the perspective (as I noticed) is off in a lot of places (most notably the mecha itself, unfortunately). This is my first try in CGing any sort of environment as well... It'll do for the time being I hope, need more practice X_X

Inking and final compositing is done in Adobe Photoshop CS 2.0, colouring completely done in Painter 9.0 using the Acrylics brush.
The whole pic was also an experiment to CG metallic surfaces using painting techniques and also a trial to colour things in a more mature tone (aka not so saturated, or de-saturated colours as some call it).

Done for AlphaLeo (obviously) as a belated birthday pic (Sorry Ray x_X), and also a way of saying thanks to him for being an inspiration as a peer, an artist and an animator.

Now before I reek of cheese...
