Weee~I submitted more art~ XD
And it's not FANART! Bonus!
Anyway, due to Ryu's frequent little reminders that I do not update enough, I decided that I wanted to draw something. Lately, I have shown an increasing interest in Cheetahs and I decided that I really wanted to create another Cheetah character of my own, besides Nari. This one being a male.
However, before you ask, he does not have a name yet. If you want to give me a suggestion, but put it in your comments. -nodnod-
Anyway, he is what is called a 'King Cheetah' due to his blotchy spots instead of the normal spots that Cheetahs have. The 'King Cheetah' is not actually a separate breed, but is actually a genetic mutation that occurs every once in a while. Yes, I have done lots of research...
Alright, I used a picture of a cheetah for reference and practice of anatomy and there are quite a few mistakes / changes I made to it. I really wanted to stay away from the TLK style, as I want to practice a little more realism.
I was basically messing around with the background in Photoshop and came across the 'texture' options. XD I like what I did with it.

This is great... I love cheetahs, and King Cheetahs are my absolute favorite variation. You did so well on this... I can't even get the markings right without driving myself nuts.
He looks like he could fit well with Shadiki. I'm loving his eyes though, and you even have the detail on the mane. It's a very good king cheetah. As for names, I'm still stuck with names for my nephew.
But I'll let you know if I find something.

I did use a reference, though, since I'm trying to get myself in the habit of drawing more realistic things.
XD I kept the mane, since I adore the mane on Cheetah cubs.
He's an adolescent, so he hasn't lost that mane of his quite yet. XD

Humans are hard for me too. I could never draw them. I do better at lions and such, obviously.
I draw realistically with my wolves and stuff I want to put in my county fair. But I've been drawing TLK style for so long it's not funny.
King Cheetahs are usually furrier than their cousins, so most have longer fur on their necks, body, etc. So the mane is really accurate. But the cub mane is too cute on the babies.
