It was a really nice day on Sweet Apple Acres Usually in the summer, it would be so humid that you could hardly breath, or so hot that you think of shaving off your fur. But today, it was just right. The breeze hit just right as the sun gave a normal shine instead of a burning glare of hellfire.

Today, Golden Delicious, Apple Pie, and Agate were taking advantage of such wonderful weather as they took a break from farm work to walk up and down the acres.

"Ah' still can't believe Appletini's voice. Why, she sounds like heaven reached down an' touched her vocal chords!" Golden grinned, absolutely ecstatic that they had been visited by their cousins. "Well, she's the daughter of a princess, Goldie. What'd ya expect?" Pie chuckled, hoisiting Agate on him to give her a ride.

Agate however, had her eyebrows furrowed in thought. "...Hey, Apple?" "Eeyup?" "Why doesn't Appletini live with us? An' the others? They're just as Apple as they are royalty, righ'?"

Her older siblings shared a look of surprise, before Apple Pie shrugged. "Just don't, ah' guess. They practically do live here with how many times Aunt AJ visits, all worried." He and Golden shared a laugh, but Agate was unamused. "But why can't Auntie Cadence just move 'er castle down here, to the acres? So everybody can live together instead'a takin' so much time just visitn'?"

"Well, that wouldn't be fair, now would it? Aunt Cadence havin' to move her kingdom?" Golden Delicious smiled warmly. "Mama moved from her farm to marry Daddy! And Aunt AJ moved to the Crystal Empire to marry Auntie Cadence! Why can't Auntie Cadence return the favor?" Agate bit her lip.

It was Apple Pie's turn to furrow his brows. "Where's all this comin' from, Aggie?"

Agate looked down. "Ah' just want the family to be together, ah guess. Ah just want everypony to be happy, an' stuff...." She trailed off, thinking her siblings were angry at her.

Both siblings softened, and Golden Delicious shook her head with a soft chuckle. "Family can still be close without bein' together all the time, Agate." "Yeah, but it ain't the same! I don't want Daddy and Aunt Apple Bloom to always get so worked up and outta shape over the fact that aunt AJ is visitin'. I want her to be around all the time. I don't want you to be so surprised every time you see Lullaby or Appletini do something or be something you hadn't seen for months! I want you to be happy and knowing everything 'bout 'em! I don't want Flurry Heart or Eros to feel awkward sometimes around us! I want 'em to feel like this is home!" Agate finished her little rant, tears starting to brim into her eyes for reasons she couldn't understand.

"Hey hey hey!" Apple Pie stopped walking, slid Agate off his back, and scooped her into his hooves. "Hey now, it's OK, sugarcube." Golden Delicious joined the mini-hug. "Just let it all out Aggie." She cooed gently, rubbing the filly's back.

Agate sniffled. "Ah just want everypony to be together an' happy...." She whispered. "Hey, maybe when you're older, you can find a way! Maybe you can build a teleportation device or somethin'!" Golden grinned. Agate looked up, confusion donning her face. "But ah' like flowers." Apple Pie let out a small laugh. "Ah'm sure you can think'a somethin'." He gave his little sister a noogie, much to her giggling protests.

The filly gently wiped her tears. "Y'all think ah could... do that?" She looked up at them both. "You're an Apple, ain't you?" Apple Pie smiled.

"Now, why don't we continue that walk? Can't become some sacks'a lazy bones, can we?" Golden Delicious stood up, this time scooping Agate onto her back. Apple Pie joined her in standing. "That don't sound like a bad idea at all."

And Agate agreed.
