Oooh, yeah!! That was too much fun!! I wish the Lakitu Cloud was a powerup you could acquire from the ! blocks, like the feathers and balloons and whatnot! That'd have been the best!

Hehe, yupyup, from the first release of the game too. It's old as hell, and still works well. Sometimes it'll do the classic NES thing, where it won't start up the first time you try, but not often. The big problem with that, however, is there is about a 10% chance that the game save data will be erased.
Not as bad as the copies of Yoshi's Island and Sonic Advance 3 I used to own. With those, it was more of a 50 - 75% chance.

The very first Final Fantasy! Awesome! I've got the PSX version of FFI. I've got every mainstream Final FAntasy except XI, 'cause I can't afford a monthly fee for an online game.
Of course, all my oldschool FF copies are the re-releases on the PSX.

As I understand, the GBA versions of FF I through VI are much more difficult than the PSX versions, which are the same difficulty as the original NES and SNES versions.

How is that good? They're way too tough at that point. Hell, the original versions were difficult enough. At least in FFI, if you bring a Monk along, you can kill the final boss in one hit.
