You can capture emotion Zeragii, both in writing and in your drawings. That's what makes stories and drawings last. Everything else, it is just style and technique and hard work.
There is a lot of discussion in France about how the drawing style of the new authors should approach Uderzo's. In Asterix and the picts, I think the facial expression of Asterix in particular is lacking (the other characters are fine actually). Which is regrettable, he is the main character.
They should NOT copy Uderzo, they should put soul in the drawings.....and that is what you do. The characters look a little rounder and a bit younger maybe, (I'm not so technical in my analysis of drawing styles) but to me they fit the universe like a charm.

Yeah, mine do tend to be a bit rounder, though I'm glad that it still fits. And I agree with you on Asterix's expressions in Asterix and the Picts; he was lacking in that area a bit. But, on a more positive note, I liked their eyes in Asterix and the Picts. They say that "the eyes are the window to the soul" and that certainly applies to drawing as well. Eyes are extremely expressive, and you can discover a lot about a character by their eyes.
Thank you for reviewing, and your kind words. Huge encouragement to me.

GOD that expression awesome! You're really, really, very good at it, I've got to point that out every time!!! I for myself really struggle to do different expressions :/ And how he holds his arms and the whole attitude, even his helmet wings standing upright
Really, really good!!! (God my vocabulary seems to be restricted to "really" XD)

Oh my goodness, thank you! That encourages me so much. I'm certainly not the best artist, I know a lot of people who are a lot better, so it really makes me smile to hear you say that. I guess an artist is their own worst critic.

You ARE a GREAT artist
And yes, it probably is just like you said... someone critisizes their own art the harshest...

Thanks, but I must say the glory goes to God. I'd never be able to do what I do if He hadn't given it to me.
And, yes, we artists are often far to hard on ourselves.
