Because I couldn't sleep last night....I got tired of always trying to explain how Pap and Sans ‘eat’, and ‘breathe’, and live. XD Sooooooooooooo, here, it’s all laid out for you!

This article is made with the assumption that Sans is a normal monster. This is how a skeleton monsters' body SHOULD work.
But Sans is not necessarily 'normal'. ^^ The bleeding in DeeperDown will be explored further later on. This article was made for, and more heavily used in my fanfiction 'War Crimes'. DD was already waaaay far along story wise when I came up with this head canon. So it makes sense that there might be a few cracks in consistency every now and again, though as i move forward I am trying to amend those inconsistencies with *GASP!* the power of words.

Go for it! I always liked silence, and as a hobby after school I used to go to the computer center and try and teach myself quantum physics. 
Thank you, though. That means a lot! I've always learned and explained stuff through diagrams, so it was just natural and fun. It's even better knowing others enjoy it too!
Yeeeeeeeeeah, it's...I'm one of those people that started reading fanfiction without knowing what certain tags meant, so I clicked on a few pretty messed up stuff in the beginning of my Undertale exploration, not to mention the kinds of things that pop up on google for no reason. I'm sure some people enjoy all that, but not so much me. I honestly think that the souls in Undertale are more based on WHAT and WHO are character is and is supposed to be. It's them, at their very core. Not a sexual thing. And I knew that if I was going to get into this kind of stuff, I'd have to specify things a little from time to time.
Ooooooooo! Interesting! These are good questions. Here's how I've got it figured as far as my own works go:
Hm. Well, I imagine it would be...maybe overwhelming? For two such extremely concrete vessels of self to come into contact with one another, I feel like that would be a bit of a shock to the system, more so for monsters than for humans. In my own head canon and stories, I mention that monsters can sense magic and intent from others to some degree. Sans can more than most, being the Judge. For two souls to make contact, that might feel a bit like electricity running through you, with the others' thoughts and self too close and too present with their own. This might only be done in extreme circumstances, where a soul needs to be healed directly. If done by force, it would be considered assault. Not of a sexual nature, but an assault of an extremely personal nature.
I don't know if this analogy would make sense, but as a Star Trek fan, I think of it kind of like a mind meld. A sharing of thoughts and feelings. But more intense. Monsters would only resort to this in emergencies. By force would be the very worst crime one could commit, and could be incredibly damaging to the assaulted monster, both physically, and mentally/emotionally.
As for two human souls touching, or a monster and human soul touching...hmm. Two humans I feel like they wouldn't get much from it. Like, they might feel some awe, or perhaps a small inkling of what the other is feeling, but that's it. A human and a monster - the monster would feel overwhelmed, again, and the human would feel a dull sensation. Again, NOT really something done accept in extreme circumstances, or EVER done without consent.

One weird thing I put together/figured out is that "Sans" means without in French (Obviously .-.) but that Papyrus' red scarf is a reference to a French revolution if you had/didn't have a red scarf on, you got decapitated (I can't remember which)

one thing still bothering me. I wonder who decided or researched that skeletons weren't flipped human souls? they are so alike one has to wonder, especially for their talent for sensing magic and humans.

I often see skeleton monsters treated specially in fan stories. There's just something about them that makes people question whether they are the same as the other monsters or not.
But really, when you realize just how ridiculous some of the other monsters are (such as Vulkins - literal living volcanoes), skeletons will suddenly look alright in comparison.
My head canon regarding skeletons is the same as regarding all monsters. For me, it's all the same basic design. There's an outer layer that gives them their color, underneath that there's the dust layer which makes them interact on a physical level, and underneath that is just a magic-filled void that holds it all together (this void also generates heat and stuff). They're basically magical projections. And for all monsters, my head canon regarding their metabolism is all the same. Stuff goes in, gets converted into magic, and powers the body. No monster technically needs to breathe or eat or be warm or anything really, you could just sprinkle literal ash onto their soul and it would extract magical fuel out of it. But thanks to the immense variation within the monster race, this isn't the case. Most monsters have their soul encoded to require breathing, some monsters can give off the illusion of bleeding when damaged (and it indeed drains them physically), most monsters usually have a mouth and eyes and in general look comparable to actual physical creatures.
And all of this ties in to my much much broader head canon, which is, that they didn't evolve, they were created.
... man I should finish my fanfic already, I have a lot of interesting head canons to tell the world about.
