the contrast of light and shade is marvelous! i especiallt love how you've chosen a higher light source it really picks out the detail very well.

yeah, my pen was actually running low on ink, which made it very easy to detail the lighter areas without adding to much black.

it was this problem that inspired me to start using plain paper at school. among the various things that did get drawings were files, backing cards of refil pads and even a rubber...
Sometime i'll have to dig out my uni notes and scan in the various marginalia...

good job man, doesnt matter what you draw on man as long as you keep on keepin on..
shoot, i used to draw on my arm in school if i didnt have anything to draw on lol
some of my best pieces were drawn on my arm never took any pics or anything because i knew i could just do another one better later
so dont worry about what you draw it on, just get it down when you feel it.
and keep everything you can, i threw most of my pieces away because i knew that i was getting better all the time and i would only look back and see how bad i was but it came back to bite me..
plus its nice to know where youve been when you feel frustrated at yourself for not doing as well as you know you can..
anyways, keep on keepin on, and again, good work

Ahh, the ever popular Space Marines. These guys seem as big a Sci-Fi icon as the Storm Troopers in StarWars.
Drawing on lined paper? Bad Idea unless you need to get ideas out fast when you dont have a sketch book near by.

I didn't have anything else to draw with. I only worked on this at school, in between classes.

Didn't have any. It was just a doodle in the beginning. Initially, I had only drawn a head, but it turned out better than I thought, so I added onto it.

No. There was paper at home. I was at school. I drew this at school, where I only had lined paper. Therefore, I drew this on lined paper.
