As worn as the phrase is, it makes a good title. I've been trying to finish up my incomplete works before school started up again, here's one of the larger ones. A good ol' Game of Thrones fan piece, since I love both the books and television series. I didn't particularily base the appearance of Sean Bean's Eddard, instead playing more to how I imagined him in the books.Related content

Oh man. Even though I stopped following GoT, I love this piece. I really like seeing people's own interpretations of characters rather than film or TV versions, and you really did an amazing job. He looks worn, but not worn down, if that makes sense, plus the light on his hair and cloak are done really well. My favorite part of this has to be the sword though; personally I cannot draw metal to save my life and this blade looks fantastic, especially the little details in the handle. Awesome job; I hope we get to see more of your paintings soon! <3

thanks spes ^^ I hope to find the time to do more painting during the school year.
As for the metalwork, i learned that from doing still-lifes of helmets when i was younger. It's mostly a lot of high-contrast and high reflectivity, plus a custom brush I created that gives it some texture.
