Again I am dumb enough to do something good on lined paper.I'm really busy right now, so haven't been able to work much on my deviations. Exams are coming up, and I'm completely swamped in art projects. Which is the reason for this scrap. Our summative assignment in art has to be a full-sized page in the form of an alluminated gothic manuscript. Words, pictures, and all. As I said, I'm swamped.
The picture is just practice work, using the tradition of "once upon a time". The thick black lines in the top of the picture are gothic calligraphy practice, which takes up the rest of the page.

actually I love thatΒ it is on normal lined paper that anybody has in their drawer.. you don't notice it and then bam, it connects it with the reality that it is of this time, andΒ the juxtaposition of something so exquisite being on something so throw-away make it more interesting

I usually plot out the big stuff and then the rest i just kinda go with. Sometimes not planning it all out allows it to look more natural.

Oh dude! I love this.
You know you can get rid of the lines using a very simple photoshop trick? Just up brightness and contrast and they mostly vanish.

That's true. I didn't have Photoshop when I submitted this, but I should go back and fix it.
