Description Stocking sword used by during AFA.

There was request on how to do it so here it is. This sword is made to be slim (about 1cm thick) with an edge so the amount of light you can put in it is limited and that it is not very structurally strong.

And a picture taken by for of the sword and stocking in action!

Fantastic! Where did you get the LED strip and converter? I'm trying to make my own glowing sword for the festival of Vinotok and am woefully ignorant as how to make the damn thing. My current idea is running an LED strip along the edge of a polycarbonate blade with an opaque material backing the strip, so that the light spreads through the width of the blade along the entire length. Any help would be SUPER appreciated.

What type of battery solution are you actually using? The wiring I understand but I can't get a full grasp on what you're using to POWER it.

Thanks.

yeah. when bended they can hold their shape

Notaku In reply to zerartul [2011-02-13 11:27:19 +0000 UTC]

ok i see but will it be sturdy like that?? also for the wires with the switch, did you put that together yourself or can you buy it like that.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

zerartul In reply to Notaku [2011-02-14 13:48:12 +0000 UTC]

well its decently sturdy. It will be able to stand on its own and will only flex if swing really hard. It will also be exceptionally light. Wires and switch u have to arrange them yourself

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Notaku In reply to zerartul [2011-02-14 13:55:40 +0000 UTC]

hmm i see. There won't be any sword fighting so thats good.
Are the wires hard to do because i don't have any skills in that region.
