Edit: Sorry for adding the crummy watermark, guys! It's been brought to my attention that someone stole the design and put it up on a t-shirt site. 
Wow, not really sure I've ever drawn fanart of an unreleased game before, but I sure haven't done it the same day it was announced!
This game didn't get me the most hyped from E3, but damnit I just love the art design of Splatoon so much I felt compelled to draw one of the little buggers~
edit: Oh hey, new stuff showed up on the net today! Added in the game's logo and gave her tentacles its spots that I didn't notice from the low res screenshots I was working from.
edit2: Reuploaded a new version with a flesh colored underside of the tentacle after frozenpandaman

It looks cute! I like a lot the character designs and how they're based of a squid.
Being indifferent about it at first, I ended loving the concept. It's going to be a very fun game.

I was expecting them to announce a HD version of Mario Sunshine with a blooper jumping around, and was kinda disappointed. And then I was very pleasantly surprised that I was wrong! I really like the premise, hopefully it plays as well as it looks. Watched a fair amount of gameplay on the Treehouse stream and it looked really good though

Love it! Based on the announcement video the underside of their tentacles are supposed to be white, though. Still, great work!

Yeah the screenshots I was looking at were low quality but they looked grey, so I had a feeling they weren't that color. I don't think white would have worked as well in this image, but maybe it would. I might play with it a bit more and update it if the official color looks better

Did you do this in Illustrator (or Photoshop)? Just curious, as it looks like a vectorβhas a very crisp feel to it. The coloring is simple but extremely well done, and IΒ LOVE her expression, too
