I'm not even sure where to begin, but I think I'll second ForbiddenImmortality's sentiment:
Now that that's out of the way...yet another excellent work of art. Really, between this art style that's so pleasing to the eyes, and that wittily-delivered humor ("portable" XD), it's got the greatness that I've come to expect of you.
Before I continue, I'll say this: I think that lolis aren't meant to arouse, or be lusted after, but are instead meant to be adorable and endearing--not too far from something like a kitten, but obviously different (being human, and all). I could probably write a small essay on the topic, but I'll spare you.
Her tsurime (sharp, slanted eyes; especially showcased in the upper left) truly fit her personality and design (opposed to Liaas' also-fitting tareme; soft, drooping eyes)--which I think you've put a good amount of thought into. (On a side note, that kind of boot that Bytes is wearing is one of the best, especially combined with what appear to be thighhighs. lol) The name Lorelei is also one of my favorites. Such an alias does suit her, just as you described. That microphone peeking out from behind her hair always got my attention, too--but I never thought it'd double as a garrote wire. lol Can't count the added coolness points for that, but they're a lot. XD
I also like the dualism of her business life as la fantΓ΄me blanche and her home life as the lovable white plushie/doll. Maybe it's just me, but I see connections between the two. The way she does battle isn't a way of brute force, but of technique born of intelligence--subterfuge, stealth, and through the direction of teammates/subordinates. In her home life (and as general traits of hers) she lacks physical strength and dislikes activity involving it, but gets others to do it for her.
And with how adorable she is, who can say no? lol

Bytes is one of the characters that i always keep in my mind, I love the story i have planned up for her, but certain mechanics simply couldn't be executed with my current abilities.
I'm honored that you remember the other sheet as well.
I also really appreciate that you've noticed me design choices.
Her design has been through so much iteration that i think it's sort of settled to this.
i still find it fun to revisit and challenge choices i have made, such as the open shoulders.
or how I wanted her to be white because of how neutral the color is.
I often contrast her to her sister "Shino" who's ideals are in direct conflict with Bytes, yet they get along extremely well.

Shino is her sister?
Once I get past the shock, it makes sense--as does what you said about the two. They seem to have a diametrical connection/relation, in their designs: in my mind, Bytes is represented by blue and white; Shino, on the other hand, is represented by red and black. Bytes is petite; Shino is...well, you know. 
lol Now I'm even more curious (about Shino, yes, but not just her). Liaas likes to hang around Shino, who happens to be Bytes' sister. I never expected Liaas to be even indirectly connected to Bytes, who knows the life of combat--she leads a rather peaceful lifestyle, at least on the surface. But this does go back to your hinting at other, hidden aspects of Liaas' history.
And you chose white as a neutral color (which it is). I wonder if that neutrality mirrors something about Bytes, herself. Aside from her being ghostlike, in certain ways (for example, the way she does battle).
Anyway, with as much skill as you have, how much thought has gone into your works, and how good they look...it'd be a shame not to notice. I'm definitely looking forward to more.

Bytes was originally there to explain a certain concept in everyone's story, Then she got her own series.
They're sisters in a sense that they share a lot of traits and concepts. I believe i have taken aspects from shino and given them to bytes and vice versa, but it's been way too long to remember,
in short: They're sisters that didn't share the same parents, probably bytes would be closely related to shino's ancestors before the "time skip", as they have quite a similar DNA, (but I'm no expert on the subject), and they got brought up by war... they also treat each other very much like sisters)
I was deciding if i should say it or not...
Bytes has a few aliases (Cough*sue*cough), Most just call her the "Binary ghost" and believe she's a rogue AI of sorts, Those that have fought under her direct command sometimes call her the Stormeye, She gets 2 new names a day at home which ranges from "softie" to "Uwahahahaw" But her organization calls her "Butterfly" coming from the chaos theory and how impractically fragile she is compared to her friends.
It also best describes how she fights.

Anyway, all that is certainly food for my thoughts, at least.
On a side note, I noticed the aircraft outlines in the "At work" section--especially the one closer to the line. (Don't blame me, was distracted largely by Bytes.

Name systems weren't originally in place where they were raised up,
Names were found to have faster reaction times than callsigns, and also faster to call then their numbers so she started naming her friends after objects they use.
There was Alias, Scope, Blue, Aerial, and a couple more.
You can probably guess what their specialties were.

Wow that's such a cute character~ How did you come up with the name Lorelei? The character I roleplay as is called Mystia Lorelei, shes from the Touhou Project. Great anyhow!

I've heard variants of the name, Lorelei, Lore ley, etc
So i went to do a background check and came up with a folklore of a character that "bewitches men with her voice and causes their deaths" also there's a rock in germany called Lorelei, which may put the tie of the name with WW2 human experimentation horror stories.
If you take that scenario and change the definition of "voice" from music to command and diplomacy, You have a macabre summary of what Bytes does.
Her backstory is quite dark, She went to a really fancy school got really good grades and made some friends.
