Description
Inside this state of blue and grey.
Lays a little boy hiding from reality behind a mask.
He looks upon the world though eyes which aren’t his,
and speaks through a mouth which doesn’t move.

Walking through this state of lost consciousness,
his thoughts float like bubbles through a calm breeze.
Sometimes speaking to himself to keep his own company,
and pretend he isn’t alone.

And after a while he‘d stop walking and fall to his knees,
from the weight of the world upon his shoulders.
He tries to stand but simply cannot move.
For this heavy burden has gained control yet once again.

The rain begins to fall as he’s lying face down,
like a small animal dead in the road.
He tries to stand again put is pinned beneath this weight.
As the rain falls he begins to suffocate from the water pooling around
him.

Head held to the concrete,
the water rushes up to meet his unmoving mouth.
And like a surge from a storm at sea it swallows him.
He disappears from sight as he is washed away beneath the waves of
emotion.

Now he lies motionless at the bottom of the world.
His life has spiraled out of control so far, and landed him here.
In nothing.
