I LOVE Shaman King, ok? You know that thing (manga/anime/game/whatever) you're obsessed with, you think about it 24/7, you collect everything you can about it, search every nook and cranny for the last bit of information that can satiate your thirst for knowing more about it? Shaman King was that for me once. (then came other stuff, as it could be)

Fun fact: I've begun this drawing before the Shaman King remake started airing.

I really wanted to post this before her appearance in the anime, since I wasn't sure about the colours - I've found ONE (1) official art in which she's dressed all in black, but in the manga her outfit looks the same (white or pink), and was also depicted as such in the 2001 anime (but we all know the 2001 anime was a garbage fire towards the end, so I didn't want to rely on it too much) (fyi, I loved the 2001 anime nonetheless) (take a shot for every time I wrote "the 2001 anime" - this one included). At some point, I found some other official-looking art (from a game named Puzzle & Dragons), in which her colours resembled the og one, so I picked those in the end. Her tools also variates greatly in the manga too - sometimes the scalpels are on the tip of her fingers, like scalpel/finger shoes, sometimes are in that elaborate contraption on her hand... - so yeah, it was kinda a nightmare.
Also also, once I finished the chibi, it looked sooo empty. I slapped a pattern background behind it (some creepy cute medical stuff) but I didn't like it - so I abandoned the drawing for some time. Then, at some point, I was like "welp, I'd like to try some background", so I picked her up again. An obvious choice would have been the shaman fight arena, but I didn't want to think so I went with a generic piece of ground. And it was FUN. I had so much fun with it, I even coloured the tree behind her entirely (even if you can't see it). F U N.
