Past: He lived in an orphanage since birth and doesn‘t know or can remember anything from his parents.

Past of him and the others: One day, he and three other children from the orphanage were collected by scientists and taken to a laboratory where he and the others, who introduced themselves as Chicho, Aki and Kenta, were subjected to various experiments and received special abilities.
During the time in the lab, the connection between him and the others grew, so they eventually saw each other as siblings and have given themselves the name Rozumaki.
One day, he and the others managed to break out of the lab, receiving support from a vampire who turned out to be Karl-Heinz. When he helped them, he turned them into vampires, so they would survive. But it turned out that they did not want that at all and started to despise Karl-Heinz and hate vampires. They also developed this hate to humans and began to trust only themselves.
Many years passed and the four tried to live a normal life and also went to school. In between they got themselves black collars, which they all wear constantly and serve as a connecting piece. They did not show any signs of their vampire side and never drank blood because they do not want to become "monsters".
One day, Yu finally met Yui. At first he did not care about her at all, but when he found out, that she was living with vampires, his connection to her grew and he began to develop a protective instinct. Since the day he does everything to keep Yui away from the Sakamakis and Mukamis. He also fights with himself, his ability and his thirst for blood.
