This is my entry for Battle Artist 26 - my fisrt one.
Subject was The Darkness by TopCow Comics...so here it is, my version at least.

You guys told me to think outside the box so i did (at least i think i did X_X).So I through away my 3 or 4 layouts that i had prepared cause I didn't want to draw him in a battle pose, i wanted something else...but i didn't know what.

On friday surfing the web and praying to God to come up with a good ideea i found a song from Johnny Cash on youtube called Hurt which was about how one cannot escape his 'darkness' so to speak. So i started thinking about the fact that Jackie-boy would never escape death and The Darkness for the rest of his life and tha he would never get to experience being human ever again. So i came up with this design thinking i could show him consumed by the power of The Darkness(again - at least i hope i got that message through). I left his eyes hollow to show the emptiness he would eventually feel when the power of dark will take full control of him.

I'm not completly happy with it,i would have liked to have some fine liners for the small details and not my regular giant tip markers but...

Anyway, to wrap things up i hope you enjoy these drawing as much as i when i drew it.

I apologize for the crooked scan but i had to do it in a copy-shop cause i don't have a scanner and i did not realize it was like this until o got home.

Please comment and critique as much as you want cause i'm here to learn to do better and i would really appreciate it.
