Description
This was a flyer for a video game store at the request of the manager. It's Old School vs New Skool. He requested the characters I didn't just pull these characters outta my ass. For all those that don't know the characters goes like thisSamus vs Masta Chief

Link vs Dante
Sonic vs Blinx
Yeah I couldn't get Dante's Sword right so I half-assed it. I messed up on Link's pose. Yes the guy requested Young Link for some reason. Mario did a good job cleaning up this mess. I'm not good these types of things. But this was a year ago I think I can do better now.

Heheheh, lets get real. Samus would kick Master Cheifs @ss. For one shes a babe, two, her armors like hella cool and three, after half the shits she's been through, its all a matter of experience baby. I mean, come on, she's been cloned and had to fight herself for cryin out loud. Megamans gonna kick Ratchets ass. For one main reason, HE WOULD STEAL ALL HIS ATTACKS!! And even if he didn't Megaman has so many skills and abilities already built in, it wouldn't matter. Sonic and Blinx, Sonics dominating. Since he runs so fast, Blinx would have to do some serious work in a short amount of time to stop Sonic. Plus, Sonic runs fast enough to negate a bit of the time control Blinx has. Then lets not even talk about if Sonic goes super or even hyper. Now as for Link vs. Dante...that may be a pretty good fight. From the shear fact of how much experience both have with such weird enemies and their arsenal of weapons...that may be a good battle. I'd pay-per-view it.

Nice work! I like all the designs, but the wording seems a bit in the way. I think a look at some movie posters for reference would have gone a long way towards making the overall image seem more balanced.

oh, your getting me started now! First off Master Cheif is stronger, faster, and has better hand eye corridination and reaction time, thats just without the armor. With the armor, it is all doubled. And if thats not bad enough, Cortana can help improve his reaction and hand eye coordination even more. Granted, Samus's armor would prove to be a tough cookie to crack, but who said hed aim for the armor? right when the battle would begin I almost gaurantee hed fire at least 2 to 3 shots in her visor. and those are hight impact bullets designed to go through a tank! And say she managed to get past that, her only true weapon would be the plasma cannon, which needs a few seconds to charge. Her only trump card would be to slow and he would take her down by then. If you need more evidence, feel free to argue more!

Well, all that may be true (I don't know much about Master Chief) but I have two words about Samus: Speed Booster. All those attacks from Master Chief are contingent on him actually hitting Samus, which would never happen because she'd be too busy running circles around him and laying waste to his cheap armor with her plasma cannon, ice beam (to slow him down) and myriad of missiles. Not to mention the fact that even without the speed booster she's considerably more agile than he is (from what I've seen in Halo anyway) so in order for him to beat her, he'd actually have to have some miraculous aim. She could even implement one of her visors (the X-Ray visor optimally) and scan for weak points in his armor, lock on, charge up (while still running circles around him) and blast him to embers with a single shot.
So there.

obviously you have not read the books! for if you had, you would relize that master chief is at least as fast if not faster than the master cheif! his speed is unmached to any other human. also in armor wise, yes Ill admit the master cheifs armor has its flaws, but thats not to say that samus's doesnt have its own as well. now as for the ice beams, and missiles, she would have no time to fire the missiles, if she did he can deflect them by kicking them up, or out foxing them, the Ice beam he can easily dodge, and the plasma shot, well, thered be no chance to charge that. For you see, he just doesnt spend his time dodging, he attacks from the get go, and dont think he wouldnt be looking for weak points either, he does have an AI in his head that can gather that info in seconds! with a variety of weaponry and and an ability to think of stratagies very rapidly! He has been trained from the age of 6 and hes over 45, I think hes got quite a bit more experience than samus, and once he decides to kill sombody he takes out his mission with no delay. SO BOOYAH!

how unright you are! Im sorry if I offended you with the "loser talk" crack, but I stand on my point and I truely believe that the master cheif would ownz, it wouldnt be easy, but it would happen, I am in no denial phase, nor am I unwilling to admit what is untrue, for I know the outcome. ^_^

Damn straight!! I don't know anything about this Master Chief guy, but I am 100% sure he would wind up as so much vaporized molecules if he even THOUGHT about tangling with the mighty Ms. Aran. I mean, there are just SO many ways she could choose to kick his ass, it's not even funny:
1) As you say, run circles around him with the Speed Booster, lock onto chinks in his armor with her X-Ray Visor, and fire a precision shot that would blow him away.
2) Screw Attack. I don't care HOW badass you think you are, there's no WAY you can match up to the spinning, flashing, invincible, buzzsaw-of-death SCREW ATTACK. W00T!
3) Morph into a ball, roll right between his legs, and drop a Power Bomb. Instant vaporization! Hell yes!!
Ok, I take that back. It IS funny how easily she'd stomp him. VERY funny

I think you should've added some shape to the formation. It looks really random and scattered... it took me a second to realize they're facing each other. It just looked like a clutter of characters. Shoulda made it like a U.. Sonic and Blinx being closest to the camera and Sams and Master Chief being farthest away.
I like how you drew each character, though.
