Tapu Ilio is a dual-type Fire/Fairy-type Legendary Pokémon. Is the guardian spirit of the volcanoes of Alola.

ABILITY: Fire Surge.

ETYMOLOGY: Its name comes from the hawaiian words tapu (sacred) and ilio (from iliohae, hawaiian word for wolf).

BIOLOGY: Its based on the hawaiian deity Pele, goddess of fire, lightning, volcanoes, dance and violence, he is also based on a wolf. It is characterized by being a wild and violent pokemon that, according to the tradition of the natives, would inhabit volcanoes, which is why it is considered to be responsible for their eruptions. Like Tapu Koko, it can be very temperamental, but it does not forget the person, pokemon or thing that made it angry, even more so, even holding grudges for long periods of time. It is said that when a volcano casts ashes to the air it is because someone or something is bothering Tapu Ilio and have to go and calm it down before it makes the volcano erupt. Similar to the other guardians of Alola, it has a black humanoid figure, has a tail of fire and can be covered with its armor, when closed it gives the appearance of a head of a huge wolf, its tail splits in two and comes out to the end of the "teeth" of the armor.
