Description Recently saw a number of videos that just makes me question humanity as a whole. And a good reason why we haven't been contacted by other intelligent life in the universe yet. Even for Zero, it gets really hard sometimes to wonder why she's working so hard for this race. So constantly has to tell herself, that things will get better after they've been evolved. Just, so many stupid humans doing stupid things, it really makes the head hurt sometimes.Β

Also, old meme pose is old, but so wanted to do this for some of the things I saw recently, and how Zero would react to them. Ha ha!

There are people out there that want to hurt others, sure. And Darwin sometimes awards humans who deserve to be put into the ground to be of better use providing food for Mother Nature. But that is only part of a whole. Of course, you know that there are plenty of people out there who're trying to make the world a better place for humans to live in. It's just that for some people other than you and I, the scarring is just so thick to actually see that they are capable of good things. Take Elon Musk, for example, the guy funded his fortune for a rocket to be built that can be reused for future space flights, more specifically to other outlying colonies on Mars, even the Moon, possibly. By damn, they did it, so you could imagine that ol' Elon is pretty damn serious about what he plans for the human race. And sometimes, to not feel so blue, you just gotta simply close the laptop and not look at Facebook or Youtube for awhile. =3

Speaking of Mr. Musk, here's this link. I don't know if you've seen this, Dr. Zero, but I think this will return your Confidence after viewing it:Β youtu.be/wsixsRI-Sz4

I think maybe we should consider evolving some people, and sweeping away the rest. Namely the ones who'll just drive us into a brick wall, repeatedly.

Yeah, maybe the few will lead the many by example. That or they will be found not fashionable or against the creed set by their religion's deity. So probably yeah, sweeping away the rest might be the most logical path to take for best results. Ha ha!

Also keep in mind: humanity, as a whole, does not like change. People dragged their feet when it came to religious freedom, removing slavery, women's voting rights, desegregation, sexual orientation acceptance, and more. Even as far back as the Middle Ages, the idea that the Earth revolved around the sun was slanderous.Β

Indeed, I like to believe there's still plenty of potential for humans, that there is greatness untapped, but locked away by it's own set limitations. A number of physical and psychological barriers that seem to hold the human race at a standstill from it's next evolutionary step. Or not even just evolving, but from progress itself. The things needed to make life better, and the steps needing to be taken to make sure it doesn't harm a companies profits, or offend some religious group in some way, or conflict in someone's election. There are so many things that have been invented long ago, but because of greed, have been paid off to never be allowed to exist today, like the Hydrogen fueled water powered engine I remember seeing years ago. Ran on water, never saw the light of day again. I know I loved that Family guy episode where Stuwie goes into another dimension where religion doesn't exists, so all of humanity lives in a society where everything is super advance. And the pigs are super genetically enhanced for the best kind of meat to enjoy. Like back to the future 2016 actually happened, instead of the shitty reality we kinda live in today. I think that College Humor Back to the Future cartoon parody explained 2016 and society best and what happened. As well as the Magic School Bus parody that College Humor did on stupid parents that don't vaccinate their children because of faith or stupid conspiracy belief. Β Β

Heh, well I didn't have much other examples for the stupidity of reality and how much better it could've been. That one episode nailed it pretty good. Or at least that simple 5 minutes of that episode. There was a Flash episode where Earth 2 did seem better than Earth 1, they however advanced sorta still lived in the social age of the 1930's but with technology far into what might look like our 2020-2030's. Jazz music, the car style, and outfits never went out of fashion. It was funny, cause my dad liked their universe a lot better, cause somehow their world never went through the age of the 70's hippy age and our current age of Rap and pop culture. But long story short, their universe, while advance, wasn't any better when one dick head super villain pretty much ruled their world/society.Β

Honestly, I could use a bit less of the Hip-hop and the way they get around being thugs, criminals, and woman abusing punks while seeming to be the pillars of society. ZeroConfidence In reply to BalloonPrincess [2016-06-05 15:56:54 +0000 UTC]

In honestly, I see some of the stuff on B.E.T and other stations, and today's music, and just find a lot of it to be utter garbage. Like there's no class or self-respect anymore. The culture feels like it's really dumb down when you can't hear songs now adays that doesn't consist of at least one swear word or involve butts or sex in some way. At best from their type of culture, I've sen really good Wall Mural Graffiti, but the music style and videos I can do without. I know I laughed at the Boondocks episode where Martin Luther King Jr. didn't die, but was in a comma and woke up in today's world, and felt ashamed at how society became over the years. The culture has become so terrible, he had to move to Canada.

I enjoy our era's video games, but that's about it really. Even a decent amount of films are pretty bad now. It's funny the age where when Film school students have to learn about successful films, they learn about the movie that has made the most money in the world, that I believe now being Dead Pool, when was like originally Titanic and Avatar. Not bad mouthing Deadpool or anything, it was a fantastic movie, but it's style was like the pinnacle of how our society is now and how we view funny and cool and what's worth the time and money to see. While I cannot disagree with that, I have been told that I need to get used to it because it's not going to change. Β Like a lot of things these days, the minority is trying to get the majority to accept bad behavior as the norm. Β It's like all of the awful activities the Clintons have done is now being thrown in everyone's face and told that there is nothing wrong with what they did and yet we know something is wrong ... and we are also informed that this is normal and we had better get over it.

Lol, what parts didn't you understand? I guess long story short, humanity was thinned out to 30% of it's survivors, those of which would do anything to relieve themselves of the horrors of the new world that became their reality within a short amount of time. And Zero coming along with the solution, when she was the cause of it all to begin with. A means to an end, to make sure only those with the best instincts would survive and would gladly accept her proposal for human evolution after the world practically ended and humanity was subjugated to getting eaten by a more dominate species. Zero's plan having the survivors become evolved part chimerans that would not only keep them safe, but would make them peers towards the chimerans hoard that will not only see the new humans as equals, but see them as elites, and follow under new humans and the history they will make towards maybe an even greater evolution later on. But will at least stand as a new race that can hopefully now hold their own, if Earth ever does see a spacial threat that attends to take the world by force, or wants to destroy it, or rule it's people. Zero's plan in the end, was to make sure humanity was well above it's current standard and prepared for when a bigger danger comes along.Β

KakuEpsilon In reply to ZeroConfidence [2016-06-05 10:45:46 +0000 UTC]

Ah, what I didn't get is that Zero created the Chimerian Apocalypse. I just figured she.. er you..? was just mixing DNA with the dead Chimeras as a heroic thing. >>

Shit, Chisa'd do that in a heartbeat.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ZeroConfidence In reply to KakuEpsilon [2016-06-05 13:07:11 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but would Chisa have had an end game for the idea, or would've just yet the human race be ended completely? Yeah, Zero started a theoretical Apocalypse that many would believe ended the world, which if getting technical ended the old world to give rise to the new one. Zero needed to remove everything that held the human race back from it's path towards greatness. Organized religion, greedy businesses, even the ideas of some government. Zero needed to open a way for humanity to start over and to give it no other option but to take the opportunity give to it in order to continue to survive. It gave humanity a common enemy, something to unit them, but also something strong enough that it made everything humanity from that point irrelevant. Whatever was left of humanity that kept it alive the same way cockroaches are still among us, is the ability to adapt. When you aren't on top of the food chain anymore, you simply need to know how to avoid the game that's bigger than you are, and avoid it for as long as possible. Zero installed a new world order after there was only those humans that knew the true hardship of pain, survival, and using what little they had to keep on going. She believes it a simulated apocalypse, cause had it been anything else that had started it, something more dangerous with no means of stopping, something with a goal of either the true destruction of humans or the earth, or the enslavement of the race, then that probably would've been the true end of the world and humanity would have never been ready at it's current form. Zero merely gave it a kickstart and a taste of what's to come later down the road, to make sure they'll be ready when they're invaded by a real threat later, and will have the means and power to defend themselves from it. KakuEpsilon In reply to ZeroConfidence [2016-06-05 15:26:18 +0000 UTC]

A little of the first, a little of the second. Chisa actually has a very complex and complicated issue with life, especially human life, thanks to where she lives having laws in place that makes murder not entirely illegal, and much easier to have a low population to start with thanks to it.

An apocalypse is usually any situation that significantly impacts the way humans live life, especially after a mass extinction event such as losing 30% of the population.

Either way, I'd think that Caster is onto something, I just am not sure what.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

ZeroConfidence In reply to KakuEpsilon [2016-06-05 15:45:37 +0000 UTC]

Well, Zero is doing it for the greater good, cause when a evil galactic race of aliens show up, and see how easy humanity is to pick off, what would be our options then, mostly would be to fight till extinction, or surrender and be slaves. Or whatever the alien's plan for our world and race might be. In Zero's scenario, we'd be at the evolutionary stand point to have a fighting chance against all future invasions. Or even be the race that does the invading of other worlds. To really show off the top chain of where new humans stand on the list. And I believe it was down to 30%, so it was a lose of 60% of the population actually. Her Chimerans were really hungry.Β

I didn't think my story was that difficult to understand. I worked pretty hard on it and it's explanation.Β

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

KakuEpsilon In reply to ZeroConfidence [2016-06-05 16:15:38 +0000 UTC]

Also of tangentially related note, the KakUniverse actually starts about 60+ years into the future, and Humanity's suffered a bit of a minor Apocalypse, which left the Earth pretty much unsustainable, though not barren by any stretch, and most of it takes place a few solar systems away from Earth. Invading species could probably be a mild threat but then again Humanity doesn't really show up much except as other OCs start interacting with Kaku's tower and family. *shrug*

It could just be a situation of I'm too dumb to remember details I just read. Don't down yourself when it's clearly me who's the dumb one, dear.

I'd like to think we have potential for greatness, but there's so many factors in our society that limit us in a way that halts our progress to evolve and grow as a race. Such as the limitations placed by those by religion and what they believe is against the wishes of their deity, greedy big business that think about profits over people, and the fact that some humans are just naturally stupid for some reason and avoid the use of common sense as if they were allergic to it. Zero still has some hope though. Ha ha!
