Hopefully something good, seeing the Red Ribbon Army has been at it since Dragon Ball, and they attempt to make progress between Androids 1-20 and then Cell. And with how stupid the power scaling and struggles are in Dragon Ball Z universe, and looks like they included Super Saiyan Blue transformations, so 21 should be able to handle her own against them in that form, at least to how DBZ has always played the story. New villains, new powers, the new villain is always just as strong as the new power upgrade, etc. I do look forward to 21's fighting style, if she is a fighter, it's hard to think that they'll only include her into the game as Dragon Ball Fighters Z, Mad Scientist Android non-combatant.

I agree on a lot of these points. From what I saw, Android 20 is not much of a fighter. Android 21is said to be possibly smarter than him, so she is probably more adapt at combat as well.

I think it's cause Cell was grown as a bio-android. Or the fact that Cell had an actual name, instead of the Android designation. Seeing every android before kept to their numbered name, but Cell was designated as Cell. And was never referred to by Android 21 anytime during the show.

I guess? I recall he USED to be referred to as 21 by numerous sources. But if that's no longer the case, I'm not broken up about it, but just a bit curmudgeonly in a "Help! I'm behind the times!" sort of way.

Well were any of the numerous sources official as Akira Toriyama, or were most of the sources from fan debates and websites? I know I went back to look at episodes, Android Saga and Cell games arc, and not once was Cell mentioned as 21. When I looked over question forums, it was only fans that have only thought of Cell as 21. There were even some fans that believed or had questions that Cell might be a number before the others like Android 12 cause he was supposedly made early with the cells from various people and grown in the lab for awhile and hidden away. 

But seeing the new Dragon Ball Fighters Z game is an official source and Akira Toriyama made the character for the game, being the creator of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, he has the final say on what it's called really.

It's possible because Gero didn't finish the project himself, and used a computer to finish it for him, it didn't get the Android designation. That or just "Cell" sounded more dramatic and cooler than Android 21.
