Steam (google that) and download Half-Life 2 (if you dont already have it) and then GMod (10$ well worth the money)

I suggest Orange box retail if your confused since it has everything you need to get started with HL2 (as well as ep 1 and 2 and Portal) and then all you'll need is the GMod. But without Steam you can get it.

Yeh no problem. I thought the same thing untill I found out i could run HL2 on this old booger that runs off charcoal . Still a bumber that I cant get Portal to work though thats the whole reason I bought OB lol (well that and GMod 10)

It could. Im running on just 512MB of ram and who knows what kind of video card lol. HL2 runs a bit choppy in some areas (slow frame rate due to so many NPCs) but other then that its awsome lol. And GMod runs so smoothly that I was surprized when it came up the first time and I was running from one end of the map to the other in such a short time. And I've spawning a ton of explosive barrels and blew em all up at once....the frame rate lag was amazing....but aside from that the game is very nice to this PC which is from 01 lol.

So yes I bet it might work on yours whos to say it couldnt you just have to try it. And if it doesnt theres no worry the games will be locked into your Steam account so you can play them on any comp as long as it has a connection to the internet and the owners willing to let you download the files

well, mey computer has 198 MB in ram and 1 MB in video memory, and a damn slow processor that is constantly having problems... so i don't know if it will work...but i should try

Yeh you should. At least the Gmod would possibly work untill you get a better PC lol.
