This is a test render for a bit of an animation project I've had in mind, but only got the nerve (and information) to attempt recently.

The buildings in question are supposed to look like a mix of European and Asian architecture, and the scene to the right is a large tree (large as in as-big-as-a-building) branch hanging over a jungle. This is similar to the final style I hope to use in this animation, but again it's still very much a work in progress, and just this took me several hours to do.

The art style that I was going for here is a fusion of the styles used in the ever-popular My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series, and the rather old (yet even still VERY good) style of Lego's Bionicle Mata Nui Online Game from way back in 2001/2002 (for those of you who still remember it; in fact, the tree scene on the right was inspired by Le-Koro).

Feedback would be greatly appreciated, as any input I can get at this point is better than nothing.

PS: The buildings use two different shading styles; the one on the left is mainly gradient shading while the one on the right is more cell shading.

Also, yes, the image is distorted because Flash MX 2004 doesn't exactly export images to JPEG format well. In short, it looks better on flash.
