Description
This came to me yesterday night after a bit of thinking. There's a bit of a story to this character. I may or may not expand upon that.
Anyway, this is Grace. She's a pegasus, or at least it seems that way.
She has a secret though; she's really a swan!
You see, Grace became a pegasus when she accidentally stumbled upon an old talisman that had been lost in her lake. The enchantment gave her the form she has now. Confused, she stumbled out of the lake and managed to (rather clumsily) make her way to the nearest town, hoping to find some way of becoming a swan again. While there, she finds a pegasus colt named Goldenrod. He's about the same age as she'd be in pony years, and as his name implies, he has a goldenrod-colored coat with a brown mane and tail. She asks for his help in finding a wizard who knows about enchantments (keeping her swan identity secret), and he agrees, offering to take her to the nearest town with a practicing mage (Ponyville, namely). Along the way, the two grow close and begin to fall for one another.
One night though, Grace has a dream. In it, she sees the enchantment keeping her a pegasus breaking at midnight the next night, and panics, worrying that once Goldenrod realizes her identity, he'll be ruined inside for having ever loved a swan. She runs away, and he gives chase, hoping to find out why the mare he's fallen for is trying to leave him. Grace leads Goldenrod back to the lake where she used to live just as the moon begins to rise. With a resigned expression, she lets the moonlight cover her as she turns back into a swan.
Goldenrod sees her transformation, and is shocked at first, but before Grace can fly away he catches her, promising to never leave her regardless of whether she's a swan or not. The magic of their love reignites the enchantment, permanently turning Grace into a pegasus as the moon hangs overhead. The two eventually are wed, and as these stories usually go, they lived happily ever after.
And for the record, even though this story seems oddly familiar, I didn't really get that much inspiration from Mr. Tchaikovsky's work when it comes to this.

Although you'd have to ask Goldenrod if you wanted to cuddle her though (I ought to draw him next). XD
