Because They are amazing, and alot better than a fucking parrot, haha. I do wish to purchase one, someday. I would enjoy the companionship of either that or a Crow. Either one will do. Maybe even a fox named death wish or german shepard named overkill. Ghe crow would be Draven or the Raven edgar.

Because a raven is an animate object that can fly and is commonly used as a symbol of death while a writing desk is an inanimate object which you used to write on. So they are both unique. THEREFORE they are similar by both being unique.

Yea. It was never answered, simply because there is no actual answer.
Or at least, there wasn't meant to be.
You can make some observations and come up with your own. For example: "Poe wrote on both."
After being asked for the answer so many times, Carroll stated that there was no answer intended, but if he had to give one in afterthought:

Notice that "nevar" is "raven" backwords.
But yeah, bottom line, no answer.
