I've written stories, plays, screenplays, and a novel. None of them successful, but the fun is in the doing. With a partner I worked for years writing TV scripts and film scripts. We made one sale together and then went our separate ways. He has been quite successful. His name is Gail Morgan Hickman, and you might want to check him out. For myself, I want to write one last novel.

Not a genius at success, that's for certain! What I was for the most part was an idea man. I had a knack for twists and turns, off the wall situations, and violence, lots and lots of violence. I could string these together fast, very fast, and come up with plot outlines off the top of my head. And oddly enough, comedy. Maybe not so odd, as all humor is based on pain. Gail was a number one mechanic, and never imagine that isn't a real talent, because it's essential. He also had the drive, and I did not. So he worked his ass off while I floated around dreaming. His success is through hard work. My failure is because I was a lazy dreamer. But I do want to write one last novel.

Wow that's great,it's never an easy task to come up with exciting plots and string them together at the same time! I am a lazy dreamer too,I have a journal for recording plots,stories for comic or art,but I do not realize any of them till now...
I am so curious about your last novel...what is it about ?

I think making a comic is, in the end, harder than straight writing. A comic is Writing Plus, it requires two skills and the ability to juggle them both. I've always wanted to do a comic without words. It would cross all language barriers, needing no translations. Someone said that all translations are opinions. So all translations run the risk of distorting the story, of leading the reader astray. No such risk without words. Each picture has an immediate effect that does not require language, is not dependent upon intellect but rather emotion. It's a project I've played with off and on for years. As to the novel, that's slow going. I know it will be about revenge. It will deal with people who do not take the time to consider their actions, who follow others on hopeless crusades based on mistakes, lies, and accidents. It will be a story of the tragedy of misplaced trust and meaningless loyalty. It will be about the world as I see it. I have it all in bits and pieces, it lacks only a firm decision of the Protagonist, a role for which I have a number of choices. That is the choice that will create the structure.
