I like these scenes where a little humor can be worked in. The hard thing for me was working with lots of greys and dark colors.

"By Einstein's grey hair, zis is not possible."Β mumbled Dr. Zogogo, scratching his head in confusion for the umpteenth time. The very special batch of cookies he had prepared, to only be ingested by lab rats, had mysteriously vanished during a most important viewing of his favourite space opera. And despite his many PhD's, he didn't have a single clue on whodunnit. He turned to his trusty underpaid assistant, Laura, who was whisling a suspicious, but oh so catchy little tune.
"Laura, my dearrrest, you vere ze only one in ze lab this morning. Are you sure you don't know vhere my ULTRA COOKIESΒ have gone ?"
"Uh, nope, not a clue, professor." whistled Laura, as her body added a couple more feet along the tune. Her growing knees were starting to push objects around, and the sound of stretching leather was faint, but ever-present.Β
"Hmmmm..." Dr. Zogogo scratched his chin. "You look different, my dearrrrrr, I must say. You look..."
Laura shifted her eyes nervously, and a hiccup of a growth spreaded cracks across the ceiling.
"Absolutely famished ! Ve must have lunch at vonce ! I'm thinking pizza ! Brilliant !" exclaimed the loony doctor. He effortlessly walked around his glowing assistant, and opened the main door. "Come along now. Lunch breaks are not to be dismissed !"
"I-In a minute, doctor." Laura chuckled sheepishly, her growth accelerating, and her entire back pressing against the falling ceiling. "There's a couple d-debris I need to swipe under the rug."
"Ah, yes, verrrrrrrry good ! Join me once you're finished !" chirped the good doctor, and went on his merry way, completely ignoring the muffled sounds of destruction and moans of discomfort. Then he stopped.

She reminds me of a combination of Lust from Fullmetal Alchemist and Lust from The Seven Deadly Sins (manga/anime). That may mean nothing to you, so I'll also add that their expressionsβparticularly hersβreally sell the scene. Excellent work once again!

I actually didn't watch FMA and have only seen the first season of Seven Deadly Sins, but I think I know the characters you are referencing.
I have quite a bit of anime/manga influence in my art (even though I've been trying to run away from it these past years hahah).
