Exactly this. Paul has been doing a lot of questionable things for that Patreon money, Like the time he desperately tried to defend his "Neon Dash" design on facebook. A blatant rip on tracer from Overwatch.
I have no trouble with artists basing a design off of something to expand their own design language or artistic style, but when You're straight ripping a design (Genderbend or whatever) then ASK FOR MONEY ON PATREON is crossing the line.
Paul is without question a fantastic artist, and a huge inspiration of mine, but he has also become the go to example of what I don't want to become as a business model. I miss the days when he was doing character designs like Vi and Rengar For League. His art doesn't have the same passion that it once did.
