To be a Gryffindor is to be many things.
To be a Gryffindor is to be bold, but not so bold you become arrogant and rebellious (expressing opinions however, is smiled upon).
To be a Gryffindor is to be brave, but not stupid (Choose your actions wisely and with intellegence). Brave actions are key to proving yourself in the Gryffindor house.
To be a Gryffindor is to always fight for your own ideals and opinions, never stray from your heart just to please somone or take the easy way out.
To be a Gryffindor is to always do whats right, not easy. Hard work always pays off in the end, no matter how far the end may be.
Most of all, to be a Gryffindor is to simply be proud of who you are and to let others know that no matter what they do, they can never change that.

I've felt the same way about being a Slytherin ever since I read the first book, though I used to want to be a Slytherin for all the wrong reasons. When I was younger I had this obsession with the "bad guys" in books/tv/movies/etc. and I thought Slytherins were the bad guys so ergo I wanted to be one. But as I've grown to understand what it really means to be a Slytherin, I realize that I do fit there, even if it's not for the reasons I originally thought.
Also I like that name

To be a Gryffindor means you have to be brave and strong whenever you need to be. You should protect your friends at all costs and always be ready for what is set ahead of you. You should also be loyal with unwavring spirit.
