I find there are some interesting parallels in the past with modern politics. Cult of Personality that surrounds a socialist leader who was a great orator. The mass crowds, children singing songs of praise. All for a man who tells a people what they want to hear.Related content

I think anyone who compares someone who isn't Hitler, to Hitler, should be given a shot upside the face, with a tire iron by a holocaust survivor. One for each survivor.

Yep. This makes total sense because:
Obama's military actions escalated into the next World War.
Obama's Party eschews racist propaganda and uses a police force to reinforce its rule.
Obama's Party is engineering the genocide of a disenfranchised affluent race, i.e., White People.
Obama himself has total authoritarian control over America.
Wow, come to think of it, I know a few other people who are charismatic speakers who use symbols and catchy slogans and their personalities to convince people to follow them. Who could these people be?

Which, lets be honest with ourselves, fascistism is quite socialist. Yes, there's a bit of Capitalism under fascistism, but the privite sector was expected to "benifit the Nation's intrest.". Nazism isn't offically fascist acording to Hitler, but Nazism is fascist but fascistism isn't Nazism.
And Fascistism isn't uber conservative, not by a long shot. Unless you consider Hitler's plan to dismantal Christianity from Germany and replace it with Germanic Paganism, I guess you could consider that Re-Conservaitve.
A good example of modern fascistism is Iraq under Saddam. Iraq at the time was the most progressive nation in the middle east.
I'm not trying to prove that Fascistism is a Liberal idealogy, that would be stupid, that would be like saying that Liberalism is equal to that of Communism.

During the whole Obama campaign it seems much effort was focused towards the colour of the mans skin rather than his policies. Also much of the imagery was that of hope and change, can one man really achieve that? Of course not.
I like this picture as it reminds us that behind iconic images and the persons appearance is something totally different. Hitler was a man who used imagery much in his propaganda to win over the German people.
Now of course Obama is not Hitler, that would be silly to say, but he is not MLK either. Just look at his silence over Gaza and his support of bailing out the banks to see that he is not offer the hope America and the world really needs
