Description
i really wanted to get a draft drawing done, even if mspaint, for the project idea i have in mindthe (so far) title of the project is called sleep. The person in this picture is the main character, and the comic takes place in the collective subconscious of the entire planet.
Basically, at some point or another, the entire world fell asleep for an unknown reason, and the sub-world is this completely distorted mess due to the amalgamation of mankind's collective thoughts, dreams, and nightmares.
Eventually the sub world formed some semblance of balance (mostly landscape features), due to the eventful realization of mankind that they were never waking up, and they were stuck in a new world. There's very few people who can continually fuck around with shit with their minds
so i guess the story kind of centers itself on this guy trying to find out what made the entire world fall asleep, how they can wake up, and basically going through and meeting weird and random people, enemies and just
its just a weird story and i fucking love it

I don't like to gush, but that really is a neat idea. You can go anywhere you want with the thing, too, since the suspension of disbelief has been set at infinity, seeing how he's roaming about the collective wills and minds of all mankind.

exactly! that's whats so fun about the whole idea, i don't have any limits in what i can do, it's completely a sandbox development, anything can be done
and it lends itself to a great story too

Yeah, Carl Jung is a famous psychologist who's theories lead to the Myers-Briggs personality test. And the Akashic field/records is the collective subconcious, essentially. I just thought you should make a shout out to psychology, haha.

It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up some books by Joseph Campbell and his work with "the collective subconcious" or maybe even Jungian work. Might give you some ideas, should you have the time to peruse them.
