Description
It is -as yet- untitled. I have lots of words I associate with it, and I codenamed it arctic ziggurat prometheus because it was just as good as any other name (except for maybe "Fred" which is always a good placeholder)This is one of those unique ones for me. Comes quickly, yet not; it's drawn from very recent efforts and components going as far back as 2002/3. There are 4-5 paintings-as-layers in there, built up and chipped at, sanded down and resurfaced atop each other.
This feels more intimate for me than I get to, which is a nice feeling. It also doesn't feel quite right from moment to moment, so I like that something like that gives me a deeply zen-like feeling, but comes back and touches me with disquiet from time to time.
Acrylic paint, acrylic ink, screenprinting ink, gouache, watercolor on cold press board/'bristol and masonite; digitail post-processing/re-construction.

Words can't describe this piece... I just LOVE it! I guess it spoke to me.

This certainly has a very interesting atmosphere to it... it's like a place you see in the distance, but then later aren't sure it was actually there.
