Description
This is named after the debut album by the Cutting Crew, and made of painted vinyl records by Nils Lofgren, Bennie Goodman, and I think Foreigner, but who knows at this point. The same 3 records (two 12" and one 7") were scanned several times in various arrangedments with different areas exposed and focused on, then set as layers upon each other and tweaked about digitally.Related content

I love the color and the application of it. It just reminds me so much of abandon and decay, y'know, like finding an old piece of machinery that's been rusted on the edges but was once all bright and metallic and shiny, and it's got all this red rust lying around it. This is so beautiful, man.

Depth, vision and space with colour on vinyl...just so enjoy creative mixed media. Never waste a bit of anything whether it's people, places, things and mostly ideas. Reminiscent of "Hal" in 2001 A Space Odessey. I like this. g

Out of curiosity, what gave you the idea to work with these? I love the idea of this. It turned out really well.

Same inspiration as most other things; readily available and a useable surface.

I had figured as much...no surprise on that response. Well, the idea of working with the records in that sense is unique, to say the least, and I like it. You did an excellent jop. Keep up the great work.

A great depiction of abstraction. Great eye for color and objects in the most unlikely of places. Well executed.

Normally I don't quite like your other work as much as your portrait pieces, but this is really great. Love the colours and textures here.

Fabulous.
Its another of your works that, to me, wants to be really huge and cover most of a wall somewhere with a lot of space

And you may have it upon your wall, as it is now a print.
