Following on from my Ghirahim illustration.I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT SKYWARD SWORD! I cannot wait!
I love the new design for Zelda, and the subtle changes to link. They've evolved so well and really give a new and exciting edge to the series.
This is my homage to the greatness of Zelda.
[I had so much trouble with Link's arms...]

I like Zelda's design mostly, but something about her face bothers me. To me, it seems like she lacks the inherent trait of wisdom that's come across in all the other Zeldas. Of course, that may all change when I actually get to play the game and see her personality, but... yeah. Done semi-ranting now.

And I agree, shes definatly more naive looking and under experienced. She looks about 12 to me. I do love it though, maybe it'll present a more girly and natural side to her. I guess were so used to seeing her as a troubled princess and that it really.

Yeah, who knows? I may end up liking her better than the others. After all, I wasn't too fond of Tetra at the beginning, but she's, like, my second favorite Zelda.

I'm partial to the Twilight Princess Zelda, myself. I feel like out of all the Zelda's, you get to see hers and Tetra's personality the most, and while I do very much enjoy Tetra's sarcasm and pep, I think the Twilight Princess Zelda shows the most wisdom, and I enjoyed that she was one of the rare Zelda's that was totally in charge of Hyrule. And her selflessness is pretty impressive.
(Okay, so you do get a pretty comprehensive look into Spirit Tracks Zelda's life too, but frankly, I find her annoying.)

I like TP zelda too, especially when she gets kick-ass at the end and helps take down you-know-who. I always thought it was cool whenever Zelda helped link out.
And shes defo the most 'powerful' i think, in terms of royalty and what not.
And Spirit Tracks Zelda... i liked her but the whole armour thing was a tad pushing it.

WARNING: You've activated Angel Overanalyzes Everything Mode! Long, overly-analyzed semi-rant to follow.
As for the Skyward Sword pair being in an "open relationship," I'm not particularly surprised in light of the trailers. However... See, the theory I adhere to is the one that requires a bloodline connection for reincarnation, which would imply that Zelda and Link would have to remain separate since Link has never been royalty. If this is the case, then it would mean that the Skyward Sword incarnations, being at this time the first in the line, would have to remain separate. Although I guess maybe the bloodline could split again somewhere, considering it seems like this Zelda isn't royalty yet...
That's another reason I like the Twilight Princess incarnations best (I think that's my favorite Link too. Which may have something to do with his shirtless sumo wrestling lesson...) I like the 2D Child Timeline theory myself, and since that leaves no game after Twilight Princess, I think it gives that Link and Zelda the best shot at being a pairing. See? I told you I overanalyze.

I agree with the thing about link and z, it would be lovely to have them in a relationship [and it defo seems it], but yeah it wouldnt really work in the bloodline thing. Like you said about her not being royalty yet [or so it seems, which i agree], maybe that will be addressed, and mean that link and her cant be together...
Myabe we are looking into it too much, but its much more exciting now to think of all the things that could happen.

I agree with twilight link and zelda having a great oppertunity to get toghter if it is the last, but i defo feel there was more to the stroy to be explored. I dont think we've seen the last of midna.. and really hope not!

I think it would be neat to have a side game with Midna as the main character. I love her to death, but with the mirror broken, it's hard for me to see a way for her to return in a full-blown Zelda game. So I'd enjoy a separate side game- like Tingle's Rosy Rupee Land, only more on the serious side. Ooh! Or, maybe they could have a game that takes place in Twilight Princess' distant future, with one of Midna's descendants needing help, having heard the stories of Link, and picking out the next hero because he's wearing the hero's clothes or something! Wow, I scare myself...

And hey, I dabble in a bit of game making myself, in the future we may be able to make a fan-game along those lines... Wouldnt that be awesome
