Description
Two characters from the wonderful book 'The Emerald Atlas' by John Stephens.I love the relationship that grows between them, and Gabriel soon becomes a father figure. Or it seems that way to me anyway.
This is how I see the characters when I read the book.

I just finished the second installment and came to see if some of you talented people on DA have drawn anything to do with the series - and here's your pretty drawing! I imagine Gabriel just as bulky, but somehow I always imagine Emma even smaller than you've made her. Still, awesome work and I recognised both even before seeing the title! 
Also I really like how much of a father figure he's become to her - it's a beautiful character to care so much for a kid ( with so much nerve and attitude!) he met in the middle of nowhere. He's always so patient and careful with his words and actions!

I really love his character so much, I might try and draw them again soon, after Ive read that second book of course!

ahaha awesome. I thought you knew - it's been out for a while .. I think! - well now you just have to draw something from the second book - I'd like to see your take on Rafe or Kate. I love the realationship between Emma and Gabiel.
I was in school when i read that Gabriel would fight against the monster and Emma who cried and told that she loved him, I almost cried
