I've been traveling around Oz recently, drawing the strange and wonderful characters.I plan to expand upon these designs, but im not sure what form the work will take just yet.

WOW!! These are spectacular!! I love that you maintained the feel of the book characters all while making them totally original and your own.
It just makes me so happy to see other people drawing the book characters as they were described (Red-haired Glinda, old Witch of the North, non-green Witch of the West) and it's also nice to see someone breaking away from the mgm film!! I just cannot express in words how much I love your designs!! It really is as if you've gone to oz and seen all these characters. Marvelous work!!

These look really cool! I'd love to see them in some scenes with backgrounds filled in. You've got a great illustrator's style to you.
Not sure if this would interest you but I found a reimaging of The Wizard of Oz as set in China that has a similar feel to your stuff (though perhaps a bit more Chibi):
