Description Sure it looks damn cool, but it is sadly unstable.

It is made from a super-bright blue 8mm LED with a push-toggle switch where the cap would be, powered by 3v worth of button cell batteries, sheathed in hot glue to seal it, and a hookah bowl grommit to keep it sealed in the bottle.

Why not mount the stuff inside a clear plastic tube? There are many to pick from at Lowes or whatever. I love the idea. You should also experiment with aluminum tape or another reflective item under the label to help it glow all the way to the bottom.

The stick with the wiring and light wasn't rigid enough, so it didn't keep contact on the batteries terribly well. In other words, it would flicker off most of the time while it was on.

I would certainly hope you don't want to drink it. Glow-in-the-dark acrylic paint and food coloring probably doesn't make for a tasty beverage.

The grommits i found at a local creepy hippy store. The kind that sell bongs, hookahs, pipes... those sorts of things. You know. For "tobacco use only!" I hate going there, but sometime they have useful bits.
