Over all I like the shot, though I must admit that does seem a little flat in the tonal range to me with a lot of similar greys.
I like the overall view, it has such a nice feeling of wide openess to it, well done as far as that is concerned, great vantage point ya chose to show that.
The framing for me works very well and certainly fits the image...one issue I do have is your font and the fact it is VERY hard to read. I would seriously considering changing that so it isn't so hard to read.
The drama with the darker clouds top left works well...nice...the top right though is maybe a little to overexposed.
Overall a nice shot, well done, the texture in the foreground is a real highpoint...

exactly what i thought when i viewed the deviation.
a little editing might fix that tonal range though (some curves, or maybe a unsharp mask on a low transparency duplicate)

Yeah, or taking it through a different channel maybe

ah, you mean the B&W conversion, kinda puzzled me there for a while :S
personaly though, i'd say that the channles B&W conversion isn't as good as the dedicated adjustment.

in CS4, and i believe CS3, there is an adjustment layer called: black and white. this, gives you 6 sliders (rather than three): reds, yellows, greens, cyans, blues and magentas. the advantage is that, with more sliders, you have more control over the conversion, and as such can get a better conversion.

Or you could just go download Pog's Mono Renditionizer which about the best damn free PS B&W PS plugin made and is awesome

i looked at it, and i feel there are a few things missing.
first of all, it isn't an adjustment layer, but a filter, which means that it lacks flexibility, and fast editability.
secondly, it can't be applied to smart objects, whilst all my pixel layers are smart objects.
and third (not sure about this) it still only has 3 channels instead of 6.

for as far as i know, lightroom isn't really my thing. from what i know it is a streamlined version of photoshop, which means that it starts making decisions for me... and that's the last thing anyone should do to me.

foto bellissima
mi piace veramente moltssimo
il fascino della doppia esposizione
questa volta l'alone dove le foto vengono congiunte sta pefettamente nel contesto dell' immagine aumentando la profonditΓ della prospettiva atmosferica
complimenti questa si merita un fav
