Description
So, I finally made a render for my Nova character. I've made two or three photomanipulations of her and her partner Jacob in the past, but never a 3d render until now. The character stars in a series of short stories I wrote for The Wizard's Lair. I hope to maybe make this one of my signature characters moving forward.In the scene, Nova is about to perform her strongest attack, called the Supernova. It's where she pops up into the air and slams her fist into the ground with powerful burst of energy. The attack often sends her opponents hurdling through the air. Sometimes, she will even be able to uppercut them on their way down. Hehe.
At any rate, more Nova and Jacob on the way.

Nova's other primary attack is a spin where she holds out her arms, energizes her fists, and spins around the like a top. I hope to do a render of that.

In Nova's world, super powered individuals are regulated by an organization. The heroes are like a police force (with uniforms and a handler coordinating the mission). There are running jokes in my stories where the armor keeps being destroyed and Jacob (her handler) always ending up with his hands on her breasts. Nova doesn't need the armor, and complains about it often. But it is a requirement, because the heroine that co-founded the organization was nearly killed by a gunshot in her past.
Nova gets her powers by drawing energy from her surroundings. She can actually use up all her power faster than she draws it in, effectively making her like any depowered hero. This was to give my heroine a weakness.
Basically, Nova focuses the power she stores (usually into her fists). She can emit a force field that gets weaker as she extends it outward. Think of it as a stretching fabric. The more you stretch it out, the more it lets in. The shield therefore is most powerful when confined to her body (or just in her fists). I plan to do a more comprehensive power breakdown soon, but need to refresh myself with the source material.
