no one said she had to build anything good...weeell once again have to point out that Lettuce isn't artistic by any means. she doesn't have the patience for art projects (yes, not even sandcastles). it's a bit different when she has a goal but... in this case her goal was to practice sandbending and that she did. even if all she assembled is a... mound... (i imagine Dexter gleefully jumping through it and destroying it, scattering sand everywhere).
