Seth has a sheltered life and pretty much never experienced the hardships of real life. Therefore he grows up to be someone who thinks positively most of the time, but also lazy. On one side, he doesn't worry much about life and does things on his own pace, believing he'll find a way around the problem when the time comes, which often proven to be true. But on the other side, the way he manages to pass the trouble without hard work makes him to be lacking ambition. He never strive for perfection or aim for maximum result, as long as he's not at loss. And, with the mix of these two traits, Seth learns to think out-of-the-box. He always try to come up with ideas which will be most convenient for him but requires least effort. Although, usually people can't comprehend his ideas and assume he's being high or something.

Being pampered a lot by his parents, Seth becomes rather immature. He's rarely seen being serious and rarely willing to take matters into his hands. Most of the time, he won't care much about what's going on around him, especially if it doesn't pick his interest or doesn't affect him directly. But the parents didn't want to make Seth spoiled, so they tried to teach him responsibilites as well. As a result, Seth becomes quite discipline, especially when it comes to his own well-being. He sets rules to himself of what to do or not, and always follows it so he won't be held responsible for any faults in the future. And despite the grumbles and complains, he will finish his tasks accordingly.

Because things seem to come easy for him, Seth grows to be a confident person. He believes his choices is always right, and doesn't get bothered by other people's opinion about it. He also believes that he can actually be successful in anything if he wants to try it. But with the confidence also comes pride. Seth considers himself to be the center of the universe and everyone else is just his sidekicks. He also believes people's opinion of him won't make him as bad as said, so their criticism just bounces off him. And with such mix of confidence and pride, he always manage to find an excuse for his failure, thus rarely learning from it.

Seth is quite courteous, letting himself to be approachable by others and trying to appreciate other people as much as possible, because he thinks a good king is the one who looks after his people. He is the type of person who will offer to help or share something for politeness, but hoping the person to reject it. And because he actually lacks interest in other people's life, he rarely considers anyone special and usually just treats everyone in friendly manner. This may lead people to mistake him as being ass-kissing or flirty. But truth be told, the less polite he is towards someone means he's more comfortable around that person ("because only true nakama can feel my love through my fart!").

◇ BACKGROUND :
Seth had a beautiful life, being born into a loving and warm family, and growing up among loyal friends who adored him. Although his life wasn't perfect, he considered it was quite colorful and it was enough to put his head above the clouds. His parents tried to give him everything needed, that they even bought him an open-roof sports car on his 16th birthday. And ever since he learned to drive, Seth found a new hobby to speedup in his car, mostly just to make his friends pissed their pants when having a ride with him.

All and all, life was good and Seth was hoping to have beautiful high school life with his nakama and making tons of memories of youth like in shonen manga. But his dream failed when he didn't get into the same homeroom with his 2 best friends in the 2nd year. Despite being friendly to everyone, Seth didn't warm up much to the new classmates, especially because everyone already had their own cliques. The closest he got to in class was a foreign student named Ratlos, simply because they were seatmates.

Without his best friends around as much, Seth became bored at school that he actually begin to study properly and his scores improved significantly. He then started selling his exam answers and taking fee from people who copied his homeworks. Business was good with the amount of kids who didn't want to study but still wanted to pass their classes. But sadly, one day his business got busted by the teachers, and he got detention for it. He was required to do social work at school, helping a dying club to achieve something. Of course he didn't intend to help any group, so he picked the gardening club since he believed there's nothing much to do and he could slack there. There, he met Allen, a nerdy senior who was also the president of the club.

Apparently lots of the club members had the same idea as Seth and they slacked a lot, leaving the president alone. Allen seemed sad because the lack of members to work on the garden made the school unable to participate in Salad Bowl, a high school level national competition of the best greenery in school area. The older boy mentioned how he wished to participate in the competition at least once before he graduated high school. Suddenly Seth realized how it was like a shonen manga scenario about a bunch of nakama who aimed for the same dream. So, he decided to help Allen win the Salad Bowl before he graduated, while at the same time completing his detention's objective. He ended up spending time in the club more than he expected. After a few days trying to work the plants, they realized two weren't enough. Then Seth asked Ratlos to join in, which the later accepted because he seemed to be easily interested in random stuffs.

The three then spent lots of their spare time together in the school's greenhouses. Allen was in charge of choosing the plants and doing the planting process, Ratlos was in charge of watering the plants, and Seth was in charge of adjusting the air flow and temperature in the greenhouse. At first, Seth didn't know anything about ventilation system and whatnot, and he just picked that task since he didn't want to get dirty with the soil or get wet from working with water. But since the trio wanted to win it together before Allen graduated, Seth felt the responsibility to learn more about his part to make it successful. Seth tried to learn everything about air movement and how it affect the environment, but it wasn't as easy as he expected and it started to feel like a burden. But luckily he noticed that speeding up in his car was a nice stress-relieve activity. The light feeling from moving in such high speed made it felt like he's flying, and it gave a refreshing feeling like all the burden on his shoulders floated away as he split the air. So, usually, after a tiring day, he would have a ride around town and became one with the wind.

As the spring came, the boys' friendship came into full bloom along with the flowers they planted. They also managed to sign up for the Salad Bowl, and hoped they could send off Allen in graduation with the trophy from the competition. Plot twist, the night before the scoring, a stray dog wandered into the school ground and found its way into one of the greenhouses and pooped there. The boys would have won, if the judge of the competition didn't accidentally stepped on the dog poop. The accident dragged their score down and they lost the competition. On the day of Allen's graduation, the boys had a teary gathering for the last time in their greenhouse, and made a promise that one day they would meet again to win another gardening competition.

When the new term started, Seth continued with the club since his detention objective wasn't achieved yet. And of course he forced Ratlos to continue helping with the club. They tried to join the competition again, but sadly Ratlos had to go back home to his country, or so he said. And with that, the flowers started to wilt since there wasn't enough people to work on the garden. Then one evening, after feeling bored trying to read a gardening book Allen left, Seth decided to have a ride around town to refresh his mind. He was speeding up in his car faster than he ever been, when the gush of wind on his ears slowly turning into words.

"Life can't survive in an empty sky.....the land and the sea are needed as well to keep life going. And of course everything on land and under sea still needs air to breathe..." It said. "What do you say about such trinity to protect life?"

"I'd love to have that kind of team work again.....I need someone else to take care of the soil, and another one to do the watering...." The boy replied randomly. At that time, Seth didn't think much about the conversation, thinking it's just another stress floating away with the wind as he raced his car.

Then, a couple of days later, Seth got a letter saying he was transferred to a place called Sibis Academy and some people will come to pick him up in several days. Thinking it's some kind of scholarship, his parents and best friends encouraged him to go. Although Seth felt kind of heavy to leave his good life behind, he still went anyway. He didn't notice any connection of the surprising 'scholarship' with the mysterious conversation in his head before, until he learned about the other world called Sibis during his trip to the academy. Apparently he was visited by the Air Deity and his vague reply was taken as a confirmation that he's willing to accept some air blessing to fight alongside the other elements.

Aside from the revelation, another surprise appeared in the form of his fellow gardening clubmates, who were also blessed with earth and water power. Since it felt like another shonen manga, Seth just embraced his fate with a smile.
