Description
-----------------------------------------
Mist was enveloping the once golden forest, with it being so thick that one could barely see through it.
While normally a beautiful haven of white barked trees with striking golden leaves, now it was left in near complete rot.
The sky above it held floating islands that drifted ever so slightly and could sometimes be seen where patches of trees ran more thin.
It used to be a tranquil place, where one could find peace and calm, but the dense fog hides something far more sinister.
Once it started settling in, the forest started to suffer, suffocate even, and its once striking colors became dull, rotten and devoid of life.
But this wouldn’t deter its visitors.
If anything, it only prompted them to search the forest even harder.
It was far from home which was above the clouds on the massive chunks of floating land,
And there is normally not much to it other than its serene and refreshing scenery.
Particularly, this secluded patch of the once golden forest cannot be seen from above unless one knows how to find it.
Though the sudden presence of the mist has made it the precise reason for these onlooker's presence.
Two Tyrians scouted on foot, serpentine-like dragons with four wings for limbs carefully treading on foot with each step carefully placed, almost as though to avoid making any noise.
The first Tyrian, massive in size from reaching adulthood, with a silvery shimmering coat that blended easily up until they’d spread their beautifully decorated wings, dotted with blue glittering monarch patterns on the underside.
They would often direct its pale head and soft blue glowing eyes to the sky,
their concerns clearly being of something above them, despite the fog concealing them more than enough,
they still looked out ever so often for any misfortune that could swoop down on them from the skies.
The other was a much smaller and younger Tyrian,
perhaps still considered an infant at this stage but closing in on the teenage years, yet his form was sharp and responsive.
His coat colors were a striking mix of pitch black atop a bright Citrine underside patched with hues of teal-like splatters.
Were it not for the mist surrounding them he would normally stand out greatly.
But that didn’t seem to bother him as he was much less enthusiastic about the idea of being there in the first place and seemed eager to leave.
Neither truly wanted to be here, but it was necessary, as the silver Tyrian had said before their arrival in this forsaken place. And it wasn’t their first visit either.
The young Tyrian eyed the ground mostly, attempting to see anything in this damned mist to not much avail.
Although his motives differed, he knew the reasons and still attempted to help in the search.
Running his snout closer to the ground, he inhaled and sniffed for any traces that could have been left by scents.
If they couldn’t see anything, perhaps they could find a trail by smell, but it was obvious that all of their efforts were smeared by the eerie dense mist.
Clogging all rays of light and dissipating any smells that there once could have been to be replaced by the stench of rotting wet leaves and fetid ground.
Paired with a clouded vision that would only let you see a few steps in front of you, it was easy to understand their previous failures in their search here.
Though there was safety in being hidden, they still felt the need to hurry.
- “I can sense them. They have to be nearby.”
- “Well, I don’t smell anything.”
He lifted his head only slightly to give his father a glance while he tried to make out what was in front of him, without much success.
- “It’s not their smell.”
- “It’s something else.”
The mist had gotten denser since their last visit and that had him notably worried.
It was painted plain on his face, a serious look took over his usually joyful demeanor and smile, while forcing a concerned frown upon his brow.
It wasn’t the same reaction from Kingsmere however,
the young Tyrian didn’t seem to care about what they found or why they were even here for,
but beneath his frustration and disinterest, it was clear that he cared enough about his father to follow along at least.
- “You always say that…”
slinking out his tongue in slight bitterness as he turned his head away,
not wanting his father to see the clear feelings written on his face.
But the statement was heard and Kiaran’s glance finally turned to face his son.
Worry still gravely imprinted on his expression, a slight hint of sadness made its way to the surface.
He could only hope that things would turn out better than anticipated.
He knew there would not be much relief no matter the outcome however.
- “We’re close this time.”
Though he made certain that Kiaran wouldn’t see his distress this time,
turning himself completely away to avoid the stares that he could feel digging at the back of his head,
avoiding all contact at this point and remaining silent.
But even the silence was eerie. It was so quiet, worryingly so.
“Split up. You know what to do if you find them.”
The silvery monarch Tyrian broke the silence, his words urgent.
They would be able to cover more ground if they didn’t stick together and they needed to hurry, for he feared that they were running out of time.
Kingsmere left without another word, nor hesitation.
He knew what they were here for and he was ready to do whatever it took to succeed this time,
but his tormented heart hoped that they wouldn’t find what they were after, for the sake of his father.

Also, Kingsmere's first name/affectionate name is Rybbon, though along the story he will mostly be named Kingsmere by most. Because reasons!
Ahhhh the REAL first page ;3; I hope you like it!
I'm trying to take my time with these scenes, giving it my all in the pieces to make it feel like a comic,
without actually being a comic (because for some reason I just can't come up with decent-looking pages.. It's not my thing I guess!
So have these fake-screenshot/stories instead because maybe this can be my thing! 8)
