I loved this part, too~
Did you know that when Heath started clapping for Gordon when he got his promotion, it wasn't supposed to be in the movie? Heath Ledger just kind of improvised that inside his jail cell in a mocking kind of way to Gordon. It wasn't scripted, but Nolan told them to keep filming and now it's in the movie :]

That's awesome!
I heard, at the scene where he dresses like a nurse and blows up the hospital - the late explosion was unintended, but Heath improvised and acted like he was trying to get it to work while they waited for it to go off.
And they actually did blow that building up. It wasn't really a hospital though, it was apparently this candy factory they were going to demolish anyway.

Really? That's so cool~! It's such a shame that this was his last role...but not a shame as well, because his last role was his best...he truly went out with a 'bang', so to speak :]
