I touched it some today, but played it all day on its release day. The soundtrack is beautiful.

That is a truly lovely design... but what is it? Multiple wheels usually indicates great weight, or off-road capability, yet the weight appears to be centered over the single rear pair of wheels. Scale is unknown, but likely quite large...Β I'm guessing a crewed vehicle the size of a small house... if the red/white panel near the windows is an entry hatch, and the fiddly bits on the front 'arms' are the ladders/handrails they appear to be. There seems to be a lot of articulation/shock absorbing structures in the 'limbs', so it could be a heavy lift system, or maybe it has variable height... or both. The big sphere in the back is an 'obvious something important' so I'm guessing it's not a military vehicle, as any enemy would simply 'shoot it in the ball' just to see what happens next. Given the arrangement of wheels, the steering is likely from the rear, and this, added to the possibly variable height and heavy-support front end makes me think this is a (very large) forklift/tractor... something big and heavy gets loaded/mounted on the front 'arms', the 'cabin' raises up to see over the something, and then they drive it where ever it needs to go... steering from the rear means it can pivot under the something giving it pretty good maneuverability for placing that something in position... assuming I'm not just imagining things.

I think the "giant ball" might be some kind of radar dish. As for the legs, it reminds me of the thundertank from thundercats. Β It is probably meant as an exploration vehicle.

I thought the "giant ball" was perhaps a fuel tank... a dish would also be cool. It is a bit like the ThunderTank, isn't it?

As you said, it appears to be "obvious something important". Β If military, such an obvious spot for fuel would be a red flag in design. It would take alot of fuel to run it in proper course, so some sort of alternate power might be needed. Β So we are still stuck speculating its nature.

Yeah, that's why I decided it was not military, because the big round thing was too clearly a target. I do love to speculate though...
